Working Memory

Involves the temporary, ad hoc activation of an extensive network of perceptual and motor memory, the capacity to hold information in our mind for as long as we use it. It is essential to sequencing thoughts and behaviors for speech and singing. In short, it is how we work out the telling of a story in anticipation of the execution of a behavior.[1]
