Voice Range Profile (VRP)

A measure of the absolute range of phonatory capacity for sound pressure level and frequency. Capacity range is expressed in a graphic display wherein frequency is represented on the x-axis and sound pressure level is represented on the y-axis. For the normal human voice, the plot typically takes the form of a football as dynamic range tends to become narrower at the extremes of frequency range. Also known as the phonetogram.[1]
