Resonance

The tendency of an object or system to respond (oscillate) more strongly to particular frequencies introduced into it. In reference to voice, the amplification and modification of the voice source waveform by the vocal tract (throat, mouth, and nasal cavity). (See forced/conductive resonance, and free/sympathetic resonance)[1]
