Rectus Abdominus

The long, multi-bellied muscle of the anterior abdominal wall. This muscle extends from the pubic bone to the xiphoid process and costal cartilages of the fifth through the seventh rib. In some individuals, the rectus abdominus is visually present as the colloquial “six pack.”[1]
