Passive Vowel Migration/Modification

Change in vowel quality that results from retaining the vocal tract shape (and its resonance locations) while moving the pitch with its set of harmonics. The change in vowel quality results both from the migrations of the tone colors of the pitch’s harmonic set and from the changing relationships and interactions between moving harmonics and stable resonances.[1]
