Mylohyoid

A paired muscle that originates at the mylohyoid line of the mandible and inserts at the body of the hyoid bone and the mylohyoid raphe. These muscles elevate the hyoid bone, raise the floor of the mouth during swallowing, and also help to open the jaw.[1]
