Most commonly defined as either a mental representation of a stimulus that has been experienced or a mental construct of what can be imagined as the result of a stimulus that has been experienced. Thus, an image is not limited to the visual sense, but is the product of any or all senses. Imagery is the phenomenal product of our imagination and is considered by cognitive science to be one of the highest of human cognitive abilities.[1]
