Hormone Replacement Theory

The medical intervention in which a person uses sex-specific hormones; a therapy in menopausal biological females to replace the diminishing production of hormones such as estrogen. Also prescribed to individuals for the purpose of aligning their physiological characteristics with their gender identity.[1]
