Gola Aperta

Italian for “open throat.” Gola aperta is considered an ideal in historic Italian pedagogy for full, efficient sound; a condition with no unnecessary constriction or narrowing of the laryngopharynx beyond that necessary for tuning resonances and vowel identity.[1]
